Overview

QA/QC advisor overseeing compliance for large CDM substation, OHL & cable projects.

Tasks

-Review and advise on Contractor’s Quality Management Plan, ITPs with associated Check Sheets. -Attend Project kick-off meetings to set clear Quality requirements/expectations. -Support project teams in identifying non-conformances and managing resolutions. -Attend project progress and coordination meetings where required to provide quality input and advice. -Conduct regular site inspections to carry out quality audits and inspections with frequency determined by risk factor, verifying QA & QC adherence to quality standards. Support project team to identify and solve quality nonconformities, manage incidents and follow up. -Provide information to the Project Manager to support Contractor review and Lessons Learned. -Assist in the continuous development of team-wide quality processes and procedures. -Take ownership of allocated projects during the construction phase, acting as the Quality Advisor. -Assist in ensuring handover documents including completed ITPs records (verification data referenced) and as-built information are captured in a timely manner by conducting regular reviews of the final file. -Provide support and advice to project and office-based staff to achieve compliance with internal and external quality management systems and industry best practices.

What You Bring

-Working knowledge of Inspection & Test Plans/Check-Sheets for construction projects. -Working knowledge of raising and managing Nonconformances for construction projects. -ISO 9001 Internal/Lead Auditor qualification (beneficial but not essential). -Practical experience in site-based Civil/Electrical infrastructure projects. -Strong understanding of QA/QC principles and ISO 9001 standards. -Site-based construction experience in a Civil/Electrical infrastructure environment (preferable). -Analytical mindset with good communication and problem-solving skills. -Ability to review and work with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Check Sheets. -Understanding of QA/QC principles and ISO 9001 standards. -CSCS card (preferable). -Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel across SPEN network area. -HNC or Degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, or a related Construction discipline (preferred). -Current valid driving licence.
