Tasks

Are you ready to lead a critical work package on one of the UK’s most ambitious infrastructure projects? The successful candidate will manage a small team, liaise with subcontractors and stakeholders, and ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of this key package of works. -Work with the package Quantity Surveyor (QS) to issue communications and manage subcontractor contracts. -Resolve escalated issues and clashes in day-to-day management with subcontractors. -Day-to-day management of the package, leading a team of two Assistant Project Managers (APMs). -Collaborate with the package design management team and subcontractor to deliver the subcontract design portion of the works. -Ensure accurate reporting and documentation of works progress, including operatives and plant activity on site. -Ensure the safe, healthy, and environmentally sound delivery of all works within the package. -Manage the package of works, tracking subcontractor deliverables and Activity Readiness certification. -Review subcontractor performance and propose improvement opportunities. -Oversee documentation through the approval process and liaise with the wider BBVS team.

What You Bring

-Experience managing interfaces with Thames Water (or other water industry companies) and other utility providers. -Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. -Familiarity with NEC3 contracts. -Experience with Network Rail and TfL interfaces is advantageous. -Proven experience in structural steel work, roofing, cladding, and glazing scopes.
