The Role
Overview
Design and oversee electrical systems for biogas projects, including studies, commissioning, and support.

Tasks
-Coordinate electrical designs with utilities, vendors, and suppliers. -Support the review and response to contractor RFIs. -Prepare specifications and technical reports. -Develop engineering drawings for permitting, estimating, and construction. -Interact with other engineering disciplines, designers, and departments throughout the company. -Develop electrical protection systems, including OCPD and protective power relay settings. -Coordinate designs with the other disciplines and provide feedback. -Create and review short circuit, protective coordination, and arc flash studies. -Design and prepare electrical one-lines, load calculations, equipment layout, grounding, lighting, cable schedule, and conduit plans. -Support ESI’s Operations with safety systems, troubleshooting, and optimization. -Setup, program and oversee testing of new and installed electrical equipment. -Provide on-site supervision of the commissioning and start-up of electrical systems. -Participate in HAZOP and design review studies. -Seek ways to improve and promote quality, demonstrating accuracy and thoroughness in all work. -Develop working knowledge of ISA, NFPA, UL, safety codes, fire codes, and other industry standards.

What You Bring
-Proficiency with Schweitzer Electrical Laboratories, Basler, or GE protection products and software. -Background in the design or operation of generator facilities. -Be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. -Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of software. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) -Professional Engineer’s license or ability to obtain license within 12 months of hire. -NETA Testing. -Experience in medium voltage design. -Proficiency in performing short circuit current, grounding, and coordination studies. -Proficiency in AutoCAD. -Proficiency in the National Electric Codes and electrical standards. -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. -Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%. -Proficiency in SKM Power Tools. -This is a mid-senior level position requiring 6+ years of electrical engineering experience in electrical power design within some of or all the following industries: Renewable Energy; Gas Processing; Chemical; Power; Waste Management; Environmental Air Quality Control Systems.
