Tasks

We are seeking a Site Safety Manager to lead and enforce safety programs on large-scale mission-critical construction projects. In this role, you’ll work directly with Thermo project leadership, field teams, and subcontractors to implement, audit, and continuously improve safety compliance and performance on-site. This is a field-based position located in Reno, NV with limited travel during the initial assignment. Future projects may present relocation reassignments. -Drive Financial Strength: Execute efficiently, reduce risk, and continuously improve. -Lead incident and near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning. -Drive Customer Success: Take ownership of safety outcomes, communicate proactively, and exceed expectations. -Identify hazards and implement corrective actions. -Support installation and commissioning safety activities alongside electrical, commissioning, and GC teams. -Deliver safety training (LOTO, fall protection, elevated work, aerial lifts, PPE, etc.) to Thermo personnel and subcontractors. -Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and Daily Hazard Analysis (DHA). -Coordinate with Corporate Senior Safety Manager to align site initiatives with company-wide safety programs. -Lead and manage all on-site safety activities in alignment with Thermo corporate standards, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and client safety requirements. -Ensure subcontractor compliance with project safety standards. -Ensure documentation and certifications remain complete and up to date. -Participate in project safety meetings, Safety Syncs, and committee reviews. -Report incidents in accordance with company, GC, and client protocols. -Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans and emergency response plans.

What You Bring

-5+ years of safety management experience on construction or industrial projects (mission-critical/datacenter preferred). -Experience managing safety programs on multi-contractor job sites. -Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. -Preferred: CSP, CHST, STSC, MEWPS Instructor. -Must maintain valid driver’s license and fit-for-duty status. -Travel during assignment up to ~20%. -Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience. -Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint). -Required Certifications: OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, First Aid/CPR/AED. -Calm, decisive, and effective under pressure. -Ability to travel and relocate for long-term project assignments. -Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to influence across trades.

Benefits

Travel: Onsite position with minimal travel. May be up to 20% as needed.
