Job Summary: The Security Credential Generalist is responsible for performing administrative duties in the Nashville International Airport's Identification Office to include the security identification process and issuance of all identification access airport badges.

  • Maintains badging equipment.
  • Performs daily checks of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Clearinghouse and Fingerprint Results Distribution websites.
  • Processes and authorizes the issuance of security identification badges and other access media for more than 12,000 airport employees, tenants, and contractors on an annual basis.
  • Issues keys to gate guards, police officers, and construction contractors.
  • Collects the results from TSA-approved channeling client. Verifies and processes identification documents in accordance with the TSA regulations.
  • Deactivates and recovers security badges and access media when badges are lost, stolen, or terminated.
  • Supports the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority's (MNAA) commitment to its culture and values, including Respect, Integrity, Service and Innovation (RISE).
  • Performs administrative functions such as file management and record keeping.
  • Prepares testing booklets and supplies for Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) courses.
  • Submits fingerprints to the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) for filing, background checks, and verification.
  • Sets up and maintains training schedule for Interactive Employee Training (IET) center.
  • Maintains information in the ProWatch system for parking, security threat assessments and fingerprint background checks.
  • Handles invoices, credit, and check payments from customers for services and parking.
  • Conducts periodic audit of records.
  • Audits the criminal history record check findings and recommends further review of eligibility for a security badge.
  • Follows all safety regulations.
  • Identifies environmental hazards and addresses in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
  • Manages finger-printing process for security identification badges and access media applicants
  • Issues vehicle ramp decals to employees, tenants, and contractors.
  • Maintains regular and on-time attendance.
  • Supports the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority's (MNAA) commit
  • Assists in auditing the security identification badges/access media on an annual basis.
  • Assists in developing and maintaining procedural manuals to ensure compliance with TSA regulations.
  • Serves as TSA trusted agent that collects and transmits biographical and biometric information.

  • Less than 2 years of TSA regulations, including 49 CFR Part 1542 requirements
  • 2-4 years in a supervisor or team lead role
  • Ten (10) year background check, including criminal history check, motor vehicle check, pre-employment drug screen and breath alcohol test
  • 2-4 years of Airport Operations experience.
  • 4-7 years in a front-line customer service role
