MATERIAL HANDLER I 2nd Shift

Overview

Stock, move, and manage inventory using powered trucks on 2nd shift

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Performs receiving duties such as receiving and unloading inbound material, processing inbound shipments, processing stock material, processing customer returns, and notifying management of damaged shipments for freight claims. -Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to Management. -Maintains a clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom and general office maintenance, etc. -Performs a variety of warehouse duties such as pulling/assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restocking and labeling vendor product, maintaining displays (tools, caulk, etc.), moving, storing, and replenishing material, and conducting daily cycle counts. -Operates forklift equipment.

What You Bring

-Ability to understand and speak basic English. -Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks. -High School diploma or equivalent experience; Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator. -Ability to work safely and conscientiously. -Good oral and written communication skills. -1 or more years of previous distribution/warehouse experience. -Good record-keeping skills. -Accurate measurement capability. -Good listening skills. -Must have a minimum of 6 months of previous experience operating stand-up forklift or order picker equipment; no experience required for pallet jack.
