Tasks

-Stays current on changes in IP law and educates internal teams on best practices -Supports internal invention disclosure processes and participates in innovation reviews -Supports cross-functional legal initiatives and departmental process improvements -Conducts patentability, freedom-to-operate, and infringement analyses to support product development and commercialization -Manages and maintains the company’s IP portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets -Coordinates with engineering, R&D, and marketing teams to identify and protect new intellectual property -Reviews contracts, NDAs, and other legal documents for IP-related risks and compliance -Assists with general corporate legal work, including due diligence and compliance matters -Advises on licensing, joint development agreements, and third-party IP matters -Supports IP litigation, oppositions, and enforcement matters as needed -Drafts, files, and prosecutes U.S. and international patent applications in collaboration with outside counsel
