Design and test pipeline pigs using AutoCAD/SolidWorks, supporting projects and documentation.

Tasks

Working within the engineering/projects department, the position is a flexible role, ensuring involvement in all aspects/products within the business. Assistance in preparing operational manuals, engineering studies & datasheets Testing of products (i.e. pressure testing, function testing) to confirm client specification. Assembly of products – assisting the project at the build stage Creating design models & production drawings (using AutoCAD (2D) or Solidworks (3D) design package for both concept designs and existing products. Assistance with project documentation

What You Bring

They will be proficient in 2D (AutoCAD) /3D (Solidworks) design packages and be confident using hand calculations / design packages to carry to support designs. Attention to detail, accuracy and strong communication skills are key, along with an ability to manage multiple design projects to stringent timescales/deadlines. For this role, previous design experience with Pipeline Pigs is essential. This role requires a self -motivated candidate with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills and a knowledge / interest in mechanical engineering and oil & gas operations.
