Tasks

As a Multi-Utility Designer at Energetics, you’ll be responsible for designing multi-utility networks—across at least two of the following: Electric, Water, Gas, or Heat—for a variety of developments, including housing, industrial, commercial, and multiple-occupancy projects. From quote acceptance through to design approval, you’ll take ownership of your projects, collaborate with internal teams and sales, and ensure every design is technically approved and commercially aligned. -Monitor project scope, costs, and specifications, verifying contracts and highlighting variations in line with commercial procedures. -Manage the full design lifecycle from quotation acceptance to final adoption, meeting key project milestones and maintaining accurate documentation. -Collaborate with Design Engineers and internal teams to ensure technical compliance and seamless project delivery. -Oversee a portfolio of multi-utility design projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, technical standards, and internal policies. -Act as a key liaison with developers, network operators, water companies, and other stakeholders to support project success.

What You Bring

While this role is based in Hamilton, Glasgow, we’ll also consider candidates from Warrington and surrounding areas. Our strong history in gas and electricity connections, deep knowledge of the industry and secure investor backing means we can provide a comprehensive multi-utility solution that includes clean (ground source) heat networks, electricity, water and wastewater. -Experience of designing either single or multi-utility projects in a range of domestic, commercial and multiple-occupancy settings -Ability to effectively understand and interpret complex engineering drawings and appropriate commercial documentation -Experience of CMD regulations and ability to interpret and apply to design solutions -Practical knowledge of relevant new roads and streetworks regulations -Excellent IT literacy with the ability to use MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook -Minimum of HNC in an Engineering related discipline
