  • Responsible for opening paperwork for scheduled jobs.
  • Collaborates with departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client or customer needs.
  • Serves as a point of contact and liaison for multiple departments.
  • Responsible for updating the due to ship MRP date on sales orders as material is available earlier/later than original anticipated date(s). Notify sales, product management and customer service of any schedule impacts to customers.
  • Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates.
  • Responsible for maintaining “z-material” management to ensure reprocessing and inventory management.
  • Coordinates schedule of material moving from manufacturing and/or R&D departments to warehouse & logistics ensuring timely distribution based on demand.
  • Periodically compares current and anticipated orders with available inventory of raw materials; uses judgment and internal resources to anticipate demand for and to utilize appropriate resources to acquire additional supplies as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related experience required. Chemical manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of the business and supply chain.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Lift up to 15lbs.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification preferred.
  • Good computer skills, especially working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and MRP systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
