Tasks

-Generate and gather equipment for kickoffs of projects -Operate and use electronic locating equipment -Read and interpret utility maps/prints to identify the size and type of underground utility. -Respond to locate requests within legal time limit -Communicate work scopes and responsibilities amongst project specific field-based teams -Perform daily safety meetings and submit daily report documentations -Gather data, prepare records and reports in a timely manner -Work safely by adhering to LSC and client guidelines and procedures -Complete required paperwork for locates and line crossings/excavations -Mark found utilities using proper coloring system (APWA marking standards) -Work in compliance with all technical procedures and guidelines -Document and report any incidents, near misses, and opportunities for improvement

What You Bring

-Technology & Equipment: You’ll be equipped with a company laptop and tools that are reliable and ready for the field. -Availability to participate in on-call rotation -Available to work overtime and weekends as needed, handling the physical demands of extended hours. -Prior utility locating experience is a plus, but we are willing to train -Comfortable working in confined spaces. -Complete and maintain operator qualifications (OQs) -Be available for on-call rotation -Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow. Previous outdoor experience is a plus. -Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities. -Comfortable with Microsoft Office programs -High School Diploma required -Valid driver’s license is required and a safe driving record -Must have strong critical thinking, organizational, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities -Physical stamina to walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. in challenging environments -Capability to operate a company vehicle and use general hand/power tools -Strong communication skills (verbal and written) to interact clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
