Production Manager

Lead and manage solar installation teams, schedule projects, ensure safety, quality, and compliance.

Tasks

-Regularly spend long hours in intense concentration reviewing and entering information into a computer -Regularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers -Remotely monitor work of subcontractors to ensure projects conform to specifications, schedules, or budgets. -Remotely assess potential solar installation sites to determine feasibility and design requirements. -Follows the safety program established specifically for all installations. -Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects -Regularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet away -Prepare solar installation project proposals, quotes, budgets, or schedules. -Plan and coordinate installations of photovoltaic (PV) solar systems to ensure conformance to codes and Freedom Forever standards. -Regularly spend long hours answering phone calls and emails -Work to ensure that we are delivering an excellent customer experience and escalate customer concerns as necessary. -Frequently bend to file and maintain files -Assess system performance or functionality at the system, subsystem, and component levels. -Estimate materials, equipment, and personnel needed for residential or commercial solar installation projects. -Evaluate and manage the resources and processes required for the successful completion of a high volume of residential and small commercial solar projects. -Assures the quality of work produced is acceptable to company standards and specifications. -Identify means to reduce costs, minimize risks, or increase efficiency of solar installation projects. -Provide technical assistance to installers, technicians, or other solar professionals in areas such as solar electric systems, solar thermal systems, electrical systems, and mechanical systems. -Drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Productivity throughout the installation process. -Work closely with the Branch Manager and the Branch Coordinator to provide accurate installation forecasts and branch performance reporting. -Manage warehouse facilities as necessary & other duties as assigned. -Manage, motivate, and mentor a variety all personnel involved in the installation of solar projects which may include Crew Lead(s), Roof Lead (s), and Installer(s). -Frequently work in on projects that require deadlines -Ensure that “Best Practices” are being consistently applied throughout the install operations. -Ensure that every member of the installation team receives the proper safety training and equipment applicable to their position and follows Standard Operating Procedures for Safety.

-Ability to read and interpret job orders, understands specifications and to read a tape measure -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment -Good computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite, experience with Company’s CRM and ERP systems is a plus -Possess strong organizational skills and capable of making decisions without constant supervision -Possess a wide range of carpentry skills to provide accurate remote job assessment -Must have a minimum of 3+ years experience -Have knowledge of materials and processes that relate to the company’s products -Capable of learning new skills as needed -Regularly understand the speech of another person -Possess good communication skills that will enhance vendor and supplier relationships, as well as with the installation team -Must have a valid driving license and a clean driving record -Regularly speak clearly so listeners can understand -High school diploma or general education degree (GED -Regularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlessly -Occasionally lift 5-10 pounds
