Tasks

-Establish and achieve annual sales goals focused on revenue growth, margin improvement, and profitability. -Partner with the Chief Marketing Officer to ensure marketing initiatives and campaigns align with the business unit’s sales strategies and objectives. -Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and market share in collaboration with senior leadership and direct reports; including exploring new customer segments, products, and sales approaches that drive sustainable growth and reflect customer priorities. -Evaluate and prioritize product lines that align with business growth objectives. -Lead and oversee the sales team (Outside salespeople, and the Inside Sales Manager) within the division, providing strategic direction and performance management. -Occasional lifting or carrying of product samples, presentation materials, or equipment (typically up to 25 lbs). -The Vice President of Cleary Wholesale, Residential, will lead all sales operations across lumber dealers and specialty millwork channels throughout the Northeast. This role is responsible for driving market growth, expanding customer reach, and strengthening partnerships that enhance the company’s position in the industry. The Vice President will develop and execute sales strategies that deliver profitable results, deepen customer relationships, and ensure an exceptional experience across all market channels. -Analyze sales data, trends, and product performance to identify opportunities and guide business decisions. -Coach, mentor, and develop sales personnel to enhance performance, strengthen customer engagement, and achieve margin objectives. -Build and maintain strong relationships in-person with key customers and partners to enhance loyalty and retention. Substantial travel will be required throughout the Northeast. -Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the customer base and drive long-term growth.

What You Bring

-Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required; MBA or Master’s degree preferred. -Clear and effective verbal and written communication in person, over the phone, and through electronic platforms. Must speak English. -Ability to travel regularly to customer locations, company facilities, and industry events. May include extended driving or occasional overnight stays. -Demonstrated integrity, dependability, flexibility, and professionalism, with a collaborative, team-oriented leadership style. -Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively. -Visual acuity to review blueprints, estimates, reports, and digital documents. -Must pass pre-employment drug test. -Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive sales management experience within the housing or building materials industry, with expertise across multiple product categories such as windows, doors, stairs, hollow metal frames, hardware, custom millwork, and cabinetry serving both residential and commercial markets. -Varied work environments, including office settings, customer sites, and manufacturing or warehouse areas, requiring periods of standing, walking, and site observation. -Substantial travel required throughout the Northeast -Proven ability to read blueprints, prepare estimates and quotes, and apply sound knowledge of sales margins and markups. -Demonstrated success building and maintaining strong customer and dealer relationships, with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. -Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Power BI, and CRM or vendor management systems (such as Ponderosa). -Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to customer sites. -Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with solid business acumen and sound judgment.
