ESG Principal Consultant

Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in the United Kingdom for the role of ESG Principal Consultant. Responsibilities include working with clients to develop and implement tailored Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies, conducting sustainability assessments, and providing expert guidance on ESG reporting frameworks. The ESG Principal Consultant will lead and participate in client engagements, manage projects, and stay updated on ESG trends and regulations to provide innovative and impactful solutions. Collaboration, leadership, and providing strong technical guidance will be essential components of the role.

Requirements

• Proficiency in relevant software tools and experience in preparing detailed reports and presentations
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in ESG or related areas are a plus
• Expertise in stakeholder engagement, communication strategies, and change management related to sustainability goals
• Professional experience in consulting, sustainability, or a similar field is preferred
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in interpreting large datasets and technical information
• Comprehensive knowledge of ESG principles, reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD), and sustainable development concepts
• Ability to conduct audits, risk assessments, and develop strategic ESG plans tailored to client needs
• Proven project management and leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and deliver results on time
• Excellent written and oral communication, including the ability to present to diverse audiences
