Tasks

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating powered industrial trucks to load, unload, move, and stack materials within the warehouse or production area. This role involves sorting materials, organizing inventory, and stacking goods securely on pallets to ensure efficient and safe warehouse operations. -Keeps the yard clean, neat, safe, and operating efficiently -Inspect forklifts daily before use; report maintenance or safety issues immediately. -Loads and unloads materials, machinery, and tools, and maintains material stockpiles. -Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. -Lifts, pushes, pulls, and carries heavy objects, machinery, and tools up to 100 pounds -Use hands and fingers to grasp, manipulate, and/or assemble objects and tools -Sort and organize materials by type, size, or production order for efficient storage and retrieval. -Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms and legs and moving the whole body, such as standing, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, bending, and handling of materials, equipment, and tools -Load, unload, move, and stack materials, products, or equipment according to company standards. -Assist with inventory counts, material tracking, and documentation as required. -Manually sorts and stockpiles materials and prepares materials for shipping. -Follows company and industry safety rules, practices, and procedures -Must wear appropriate safety equipment, such as safety glasses, safety boots, hard hats, safety vests and hearing protection, as required by the company. -Transport pallets and materials to designated storage or staging areas. -Follow all company safety rules, operational procedures, and quality standards. -Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. -Stack materials securely on pallets and ensure proper wrapping, labeling, and identification of goods.

What You Bring

-Valid forklift operator certification (required or must be obtained upon hire). -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor as needed. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. -Capable of following written and verbal instructions and documented procedures -Ability to understand and follow safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulars -Ability to understand and follow safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulations -Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and moving equipment. -Able to work independently with some direction -Physical ability to perform the duties of the job -Effective listening, verbal, and written communication skills -High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). -Problem-solving and analytical ability. -Manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities -Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. -Ability to read and understand instructions and work specifications -Able to multitask. -Proven experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment. -Exposed to harsh weather conditions, including very hot and very cold weather
