Tasks
As a key member of our sales team, you will represent all Doman's product lines. You will maintain and develop existing accounts, promote manufacturers' programs, and source new business opportunities. Doman welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities. What You Bring
You combine your excellent presentation skills and prior outside sales experience to drive growth in your territory. You enjoy partnering with manufacturers' representatives to develop and implement strategic growth in each of the product lines. You have a passion for maintaining productive relationships with retailers and specifiers. Understanding your customers' needs and bringing them industry knowledge is key to your success in this position. You are comfortable having technical product conversations with customers. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada without sponsorship. You are diligent with your call planning to ensure you are optimizing time with customers. Superior communication skills, a technical aptitude, and knowledge of the building material sector is your winning combination. -Strong experience building relationships with and selling to senior-level managers, owners, contract sellers, and buying decision makers. -This role may travel to the United States for training purposes, you need a valid passport. -Post secondary education in business or building industry is preferred. -Building industry or trade experience. -Bilingual (French/English) is a strong asset -Excellent communication skills at a capacity to influence sales, in person and over the phone, with customers at various levels. -High school diploma is a minimum requirement. -Able to lift up to 50 pounds or 23 kilos occasionally to refresh and maintain product displays. -High level understanding of construction and building methods. -Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and deal structuring skills. -80% daily travel (driving) within the territory with occasional overnight stays. This territory covers parts of HRM and all of the South Shore and Annapolis Valley. -You will need a valid Canadian driver's license with a clean driving record. Maintaining a clean driving record is a condition of employment.
