Tasks

GCL is looking to hire an experienced Lead Surveyor to oversee all surveying activities on project sites. This role is responsible for leading a surveying team, conducting precise measurements, mapping, and data analysis to ensure that all construction works are executed according to design specifications, levels, and project requirements. -Establish and maintain accurate survey control points and benchmarks across project sites. -Identify discrepancies between site conditions and design drawings and report them promptly. -Lead and supervise surveying team, including Assistant Surveyors, ensuring accurate execution of surveys. -Prepare, review, and maintain detailed survey records, sketches, and digital data files. -Verify setting-out data and ensure construction works align with approved drawings and coordinates. -Ensure compliance with project safety, quality, and operational requirements during all survey activities. -Operate and maintain survey instruments such as total stations, GPS, and automatic levels. -Coordinate survey data and reports with engineering and site teams for planning and execution. -Conduct topographical, layout, and boundary surveys to collect data on land features, contours, and elevations.

What You Bring

-Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and plans. -Strong understanding of surveying principles, instruments, and field procedures. -Ability to plan, organize, and lead surveying teams. -Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability. -Effective verbal and written communication skills in English. -Minimum Experience: At least 5 years of experience in land surveying within construction, infrastructure, or landscaping projects (GCC experience preferred) -Minimum Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, or equivalent technical certification -Physically fit and adaptable to outdoor site conditions. -Computer literate; experience with AutoCAD or similar design software preferred.
