Assistant Controller

Overview

Assist controller in financial close, reporting, consolidations, audits, and compliance.

Tasks

-Works closely with Controller and external audit team on quarterly reviews and annual audit. Activities include: -Maintain compliance log to assure that all required documents are properly logged and maintained with support of account staff -Assist / lead insurance related audits and compliance matters. -Post appropriate closing entries -Act as direct point of contact for Audit Senior and outer audit staff requests. -Update corporate accounting policies and procedures under direction of Controller -Research, analyze and suggest solutions to FS related matters. -Manage internal and external compliance audits -Prepare confidential and review non-confidential monthly related party billing entries -Prepare monthly statements (Bal Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow and Equity) for each entity. -Work with related party accounting departments to assure that intercompany accounts remain in balance and disputes are resolved -Perform complex general ledger account reconciliations. -Organize and ensure compliance that all account reconciliations are completed timely and accurately. -Consolidate entity financials for multiple levels of the legal structure. -Preparation of FS Footnotes and supporting schedules for all levels of consolidation -Leads the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement closing activities including: -Partner with the tax staff on federal, state and local tax filings and provisions.

What You Bring

-Active CPA license required -A minimum of 5 years in construction accounting required -Public accounting background preferred, but not required -B.S. in Accounting -Financial Statement consolidation experience required
