Assist with functional testing of systems;
Proactively communicate with a wide range of client stakeholders;
Develop commissioning plans, reports, pre-functional checklists, and functional performance test procedures;
Perform Cx reviews of construction documents and equipment submittals;
Perform jobsite field observations, write detailed field reports, and lead Cx meetings;
Manage and/or support multiple commissioning projects including client interface, team coordination, schedule and budget management;
Manage a minimum contract value of $500,000;
Contribute to improving Cx processes and best practices;
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals;
Perform technical analysis of building operation (controls, sequences, etc.);
Supervise and mentor less-experienced employees in a team-based atmosphere.

Work effectively as a team member;
Experienced knowledge of electrical and fire/life safety systems;
Knowledge of construction industry safety practices and procedures;
Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (CEC Title 24, ASHRAE, IECC, IMC, NEC, etc.);
Recognized Building Commissioning Certification preferred (or ability and desire to obtain one);
Experienced knowledge of building automation and lighting control systems;
Experienced knowledge of Cx Industry Standards (ASHRAE, ACG, BCxA) and code requirements;
Capable of self-performing functional testing of building MEP systems and coordinates non-standard test scopes such as technology, BECx, etc;
Experienced in the review of construction documents (mechanical, controls, plumbing and electrical drawings, specifications, etc.);
Strong oral and written skills and a proven ability to interact professionally with a wide a range of clients;
Skilled with PDF editors (Bluebeam, Adobe), plus additional online project management software;
7 years of experience minimum required, 8 preferred, in Commissioning or in the Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) consulting industry, or equivalent;
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required;
11 years of experience minimum required, 12 preferred, in Commissioning or in the Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) design consulting industry, or equivalent;
Experienced knowledge of HVAC and electrical system designs and operations;
Proficient with MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook;

Experienced in troubleshooting of field devices and control hardware and software;
Ability to travel up to 30% (travel will depend on project needs and may vary widely).
