Tasks

-Leads all preconstruction services for their projects -Acts as the primary owner contact throughout preconstruction -Create new relationships and opportunities with customers -Works with the Project Director and project management team to ensure a successful transition from preconstruction to construction -Ultimately accountable for accurate estimates, cost studies, benchmarking, and team participation as necessary to gain approval for the project to proceed into construction -Fosters collaboration within the project team -Recruit high caliber personnel from outside sources to work at Big-D -Provides continuous project oversight during the design and preconstruction phase -Directs all professional staff in the preconstruction process and leads their teams in such a way to maximize the contributions of each team member -Recognize the skills of project personnel, nominating worthy individuals for Big-D awards and advancement -Supports Big-D’s mission and values as well as all policies and procedures

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering or related -Ability to coach, mentor and teach team members -Proficient in Prolog, Timberline, OST, P6, Bluebeam, MS Office -Good time management skills and excellent attention to detail -Preconstruction experience on data centers is preferred -Work well in a team environment -Understanding of construction cost and is aware of current market conditions -Excellent computer skills -Ability to communicate at a high level -Exhibits strong commitment to customer service, both internal and external, loyalty to Big-D, in fulfillment of Big-D’s stewardship/mission -Design management Skills -High ethical standards -Problem solver -10+ plus years working in the preconstruction process as a Sr. Estimator, Chief Estimator or Manager
