Sr. Application Engineer

Tasks

-Thoroughly evaluate Form Fit Function compliance, prioritizing Form and Fit requirements. -Provide detailed feedback and recommendations for design improvements based on form and fit analysis. -Inspect and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), specifications, and supporting documentation. -Review designs for manufacturability and conformance with customer and industry standards. -Participate in design reviews, supplier meetings, and validation activities related to FFF. -Collaborate closely with design, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to resolve product and process concerns. -Analyze deviations in Form and Fit, propose corrective actions, and communicate findings to cross-functional teams. -Prepare clear technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations for internal and customer communication. -Ensure products meet quality standards through detailed assessments and by participating in quality improvement initiatives.

What You Bring

-At least 4 years of experience in an application engineering or quality engineering role, with an emphasis on Form Fit Function evaluation. -Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. -Familiarity with root cause analysis and corrective/preventative action processes. -Demonstrated proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T. -Experience using 3D CAD software and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools. -Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on Form and Fit. -Proven track record in quality assessment and quality improvement. -Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve form and fit issues. -Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field. -Effective communicator, capable of working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. -Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
