Overview

Assemble, connect, and install pipe systems for sanitation, drainage, and water mains.

Tasks

-Maintaining the work area(s) in a clean and orderly manner on a continuous basis. -Dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools. -Align and position pipes to prepare them for sealing. -Install and repair sanitary and storm water sewer structures and pipe systems. -Check slopes for conformance to requirements, using levels or lasers. -Connect pipe pieces and seal joints, cover pipes with earth or other materials, cut pipes to required lengths, and dig trenches to desired or required depths, by hand or using trenching tools.

-Ability to follow instructions. -Valid driver's license and clean MVR. -Regular exposure to the elements. -Frequent bending, standing, lifting and ongoing physical activity. -Ability to work long hours. -High school diploma or general education degree (GED). -Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. -Ability to work long hours and move at least 50 pounds.
