Tasks

-Performs quality control reviews and ensures achievement of key milestones. -Traffic Forecasting -Formulates and solves problems with timely and innovative solutions. -Deliver traffic engineering services for VDOT and other local clients. -Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) -Maintains professional registration and licensure by ensuring conformance with professional, ethical, educational, and discipline practice requirements. Remains knowledgeable of all applicable federal, state, and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances that are pertinent to respective discipline. -May provide technical guidance and assign tasks to junior and support staff for project duration. May also manage discipline and small multidisciplinary teams and ensure adherence to company and project contractual requirements.

What You Bring

-Capacity and Microsimulation Analysis -Professional registration (PE) within the field of engineering. -5+ years’ experience within the field of traffic engineering. -Experience with ITS Planning and Design, Signal timing and design studies, signal operations, signing and pavement marking, maintenance of traffic (MOT), Lighting related projects. -Experience with softwares like TruTraffic and Microstation. -Prior experience delivering traffic engineering and design projects for VDOT preferred. -Safety Studies and Crash Predictive Analysis -Familiarity with local, state and national traffic engineering standards and practices. -Extensive traffic forecasting, traffic operations analysis, and safety evaluation experience. -Possess strong oral and written communication skills and can effectively interact and build strong relationships with team members, clients, and other key stakeholders. -Signing and Pavement Markings -Proficient in production and traffic software experience including HCS, Synchro, SIDRA, and VISSIM. -Accredited Bachelor or Master's of Engineering degree or other professionally recognized equivalent discipline.
