Electrical Design Engineer for HV light current secondary design in power transmission

Tasks

-Be responsible for maintaining internal and external interfaces during the project. -Undertake and design work with due regard to Health, Safety & Environmental Procedures and production of Designer Risk Assessments, as necessary. -Represent the Department at project start-up, scheme review, progress, closeout, liaison and other meetings, relevant to NG’s Selective Protection Asset Replacement (SPAR) & Operational Technology & Intrusion Detection (OTIDS) Systems and Substation Control Systems (SCS).

What You Bring

-Persons & BESC preferable but not essential. -Have experience in the design of control and protection systems for HV networks and a degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering. -Well organised, self-motivated, and proactive individual with excellent communication skills. -Degree in Electrical Power Systems preferred. -Flexible and willingness to accommodating to deliver a variety of tasks with pre-determined deadlines -SSE 132/275/400kV projects experience an advantage -Good working knowledge of MS Office packages (Work, Excel) -HV light current secondary design capability essential. -National Grid 132/275/400kV project experience essential. -Must be able to work as part of a team.
