The Role
Overview
Ensures safety of electrical systems via inspections, testing, compliance, and training.

Tasks
-Collaborate with the safety team to ensure ongoing safety initiatives are met. -Install, maintain, and calibrate electrical safety equipment, such as circuit breakers, emergency shut-off systems, and grounding systems. -Perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate safety risks. -Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical safety regulations. -Maintain up-to-date documentation of electrical safety inspections, maintenance logs, and compliance records. -Work closely with engineers and facility management teams to maintain a safe work environment. -Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and wiring to ensure they meet safety standards and codes. -Provide training to employees on electrical safety best practices and emergency response procedures. -Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and assist with the development of corrective action plans. -Perform electrical system testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of faults.

What You Bring
-Associate’s degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering, Safety, or a related field is preferred. Or recent graduate form a 4 year college. -In-depth knowledge of electrical safety standards, codes, and regulations. -Certification in electrical safety, such as NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety in the Workplace), preferred. -Ability to perform electrical testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics. -Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and equipment. -Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities. -Ability to travel between IEM locations. -OSHA 10/30 certification is a plus. -Proven experience as an Electrical Safety Technician, Electrical Engineer, or similar role. -Ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding environments. -Must be able to work in confined spaces and on elevated platforms. -Ability to work in various weather conditions, as needed. -Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
