Lead mechanical design and project management for healthcare HVAC & medical gas systems.
-Lead construction meetings and produce documentation including punch lists and meeting reports -Troubleshoot operating systems and resolve technical disputes -Administer project budgets, schedules, and deliverables -Seal drawings and provide direction to design teams -Mentor less experienced engineers and assist with time management -Perform detailed engineering and economic calculations and modeling -Apply advanced engineering concepts to solve complex HVAC and medical gas design challenges -Peer review large-scale designs and reports -Develop specifications and construction estimates for large healthcare projects -Represent P2S at professional meetings and industry events
-Professional Engineering (PE) License (California preferred) -Comfortable presenting complex engineering concepts to clients and stakeholders -Project management experience is a plus -Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure -Strong mechanical/HVAC design capability in healthcare and acute care settings -Strong interpersonal and organizational skills -Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering -5–10 years of engineering design and/or project management experience -Familiarity with HCAI codes and standards, FGI Guidelines, and NFPA-99 -Experience maintaining strong client relationships -Effective oral and written communication skills -California Building Code
