Overview

Lead commercial management and cost control for construction projects in Birmingham.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Approving invoices and issues IPC. -Producing monthly client application. -Working collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work. -Networking with clients/contractor supply chain. -Drafting necessary technical and contractual corresponded. -Addressing subcontractor contractual claims and change. -Chairs monthly project cost report and risk meetings. -Can cascade objectives and put in place effective tools to manage. -Managing commercial manage team. -Managing and providing leadership to a team of managers and professionals, ensuring the principles, structures, tools/capabilities and responsibilities are in place to deliver area plans and deliver excellence. -Commercially managers design consultants and specialist fees. -Motivating and develop team, mentoring junior employees. -Measurement to assess variations. -Communicating with clients and subcontractors. -Ensuring site team acts with in commercial and legal procedures and agreements.

What You Bring

-Understanding of current construction technology. -Degree in quantity surveying/commercial management (or equivalent). CSCS. -Strong financial skills and commercial acumen. -Member of senior management and safety leadership teams. -Understand project construction plan.
