Tasks

-Exercises judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria -Responsible for project delivery aspects such as design calculations, plan preparation, and direction of traffic designs for TDOT and local government projects -Develop business by a marketing company to existing clients and as well identifying and marketing to new clients -Building relationships and growing business in the transportation sector -Manage and maintain project schedules and financial requirements -Meeting with DOTs, cities, counties and local agencies for business development purposes

What You Bring

-Proven experience in handling project management responsibilities including multiple deadlines -20+ years of experience with Microstation, (or Open Roads) and TDOT procedures a must -Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis -PTOE Certification (preferred) -Strong communication skills to interact with clients and internal employees -Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Tennessee with ability to be licensed in other states -Experience with signal design, timing, intersection improvements, signing/striping, work zones, technology/ITS, traffic simulation/modeling, traffic studies, and roadway safety -Experience with various traffic software packages -Uses advanced techniques, theory, precepts and practices in a specialized engineering field and related sciences and disciplines -Interact with Client and other consultants and must have good communication skills -Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering is required -Ability to build strong relationships
