Overview
Fabricate, align, and weld pipe components using TIG, stick, and gas methods.

Tasks
-May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds -Set up equipment and weld parts, using arc, gas-shielded arc, submerged arc, or gas welding equipment. -Assemble parts by bolting and riveting. -Observes SIC/Client Safety processes and procedures at all times. -Rate information using standards that can be measured or checked. -Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torch, straightening press, and hand tools. -Lay out, position, align, and fit components together. -Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of physical properties of metal machining weld shrinkage, and welding techniques. -Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding. -Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC. -Detect, recognize, and respond to dangerous conditions or situations. -Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment. -As required, perform safety inspections of work area, equipment and tools, in accordance with SIC policy to ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and SIC’s safety program. Resolve all discrepancies found through inspections.

-Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises -Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools -Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working on ladders, and in awkward body positions -Must be able to move in and around confided spaces and uneven areas -Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment -Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, freezers, and warehouses, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property and buildings -Pipe Welder, Tig, Stainless, Carbon & Carbon Stick. -Regular attendance is required. -Certification at one or more levels is required. -Must be able to safely access all areas of property and buildings
