The Role

Overview

Ensures HUD/LIHTC compliance by recertifying resident files and calculating rents.

Tasks

-Review applicant files and determine Section 8 eligibility. -Process initial, annual, and interim recertifications and calculate retroactive rent while conforming to HUD regulations and HPD guidelines. -Review tenant ledgers for arrears. -Maintaining residents’ files and paperwork. -Identify households with income reporting discrepancies and make rent adjustments. -Prepare third party verification forms. -Schedule initial interviews for recertifications. -Calculate rents for annual and interim recertification. -Follow LIHTC and Section 8 guidelines. -Notify residents of upcoming recertifications.

What You Bring

-For NY: Experience investigating and correcting income discrepancies. -Experience with MOR. -Detail-oriented and the ability to operate on a deadline-driven schedule. -Experience with Yardi -Knowledge of HUD/Public Housing/Tax Credit policies and procedures. -Possess strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills -Experience with EIV reports. -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. -Notary Public is preferred. -COS certification. -Knowledge of Section 8, LIHTC and HUD. -People skills and superior communication skills.
