Tasks

-Commercial Strategy: Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with project objectives and client requirements. -Risk & Claims Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks; lead claims preparation, negotiation, and dispute resolution. -Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary commercial interface with clients, partners, and regulatory bodies; provide executive-level reporting. -Contract Management: Oversee administration of major EPC contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements; ensure compliance with terms and conditions. -Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of contract administrators, quantity surveyors, and commercial managers. -Change Management: Manage commercial impacts of scope changes and variations; maintain rigorous change control processes. -Financial Oversight: Support cost forecasting, cash flow management, and commercial reporting in collaboration with finance and project controls teams.

What You Bring

-Familiarity with NEC, FIDIC, or similar contract frameworks. -Ability to work on-site in Kincardine 3 days per week (Expenses to be covered by the company); experience in regulated environments is an asset. -15+ years in commercial management for large-scale infrastructure or energy projects; nuclear or major EPC experience strongly preferred. -Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. -Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred). -Proven track record in contract negotiation, claims management, and dispute resolution on projects exceeding $1B. -Strong knowledge of contract law, procurement strategies, and commercial risk management.
