Tasks

-Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of spreadsheets, databases and scheduling software -Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed -Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects -Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables -Conduct reviews and verifications of construction schedules, and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications for construction projects

What You Bring

-Local candidates are preferred -Minimum of 1 year of construction engineering or inspection experience on SCDOT projects highly preferred -Knowledge of MS Office, Primavera, Scheduling Software, spreadsheets and databases -Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or the ability to attain within 6 months -Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of "Coordinator" and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression. -SCDOT Inspector Certifications -Ability to pass SCDOT Inspector Certification classes as assigned -Interest and/or experience in the construction field -Excellent oral and written communication skills -Must have strong people skills, and the ability to interact with the construction team -Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field
