HR Operations Specialist – Payroll

Overview

End-to-end payroll processing for India & South Africa, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and reporting.

Tasks

-Perform payroll reconciliation includes CTC checks, variance checks etc -Ensures all HR processes incorporate appropriate control mechanisms, including 4-eye-check, data protection and country legal/regulatory compliance tasks. -Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions. -Performs HR Master Data validation in line with compliance, data privacy and service levels requirements. -Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, taxes, and other deductions. -Support for the Payroll data configuration in new application. -Ensure Payroll related compliance is processed on time (PF, PT, ESI, LWF, TDS). -Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing. -Builds strong working relationships with various cross-functional groups throughout Human Resources. -Responsible for updates to Internal payroll processing software, systems, and procedures based on the changes as per the Income tax and Labor laws. -Champion ABB core values and LEAN initiatives. -Ensures adherence to AskHR’s Way of Working. -Ensures that enquiries raised in Ask HR tool are answered and transactional activities are done.

What You Bring

-Good verbal and written communication skills. -Strong interpersonal skills. -Good knowledge of labor law. -Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, and professionalism. -5+ years of experience with extensive knowledge of the payroll function, internal control, and payroll taxes. -Payroll experience in SAP, payroll integration knowledge and working knowledge in Workday application. -Understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes PAN India. -Attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize accordingly. -Ability to effectively prioritize and organize workload.
