Overview

Assist lead operator in safe, reliable operations of a combined‑cycle power plant.

Tasks

-Assist in routine and corrective maintenance activities across departments -Enter and support work orders using the plant's CMMS system -Support turbine startups, shutdowns, and compressor washes -Assist the Lead Operator in safe, reliable plant operations -Follow all GE Vernova EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) standards and procedures -Perform daily rounds, record equipment readings, and maintain logs -Operate and monitor auxiliary equipment and systems -Conduct basic water chemistry analysis and sampling

Requirements

What You Bring

-High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training preferred -4+ years of progressive plant operations experience -Must pass background check and drug/alcohol screening -Ability to work rotating shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays) Ability to wear a respirator, work at heights, and enter confined spaces -Lockout/tagout, confined space, and hot work permitting experience -Familiarity with digital work management systems -Working knowledge of pumps, valves, motors, and power plant systems -Minimum of 2+ years' experience in power generation, industrial, marine, or process plant environments -Basic understanding of plant water treatment and chemistry -Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field -Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement
