Tasks

-Study and learn NFPA standards for the inspection and testing of fire protection systems. Stay current with code requirements, and industry changes, and obtain NICET certifications -May need to lift objects up to 50 pounds. -Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy. -Participate in monthly team meetings. -Testing of all building Fire alarm control panels, devices, and functions of the fire alarm system and entering the test results into the Palm handheld device. -Ensure that all inspections are completed on a timely basis and that inspections are done accurately and thoroughly. -Upon completion of an inspection download the information and generate a completed Fire Alarm Inspection Report.

What You Bring

-Fire Alarm experience is preferred but not required. -Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills and be customer service oriented. -Need good networking PC skills including use of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and use of Palm unit operating systems. -College Degree is preferred; however, a High School diploma or equivalent is acceptable with acceptable experience. -Ability to be on the phone and computer consistently throughout the day. -Industrial, Commercial, & Residential building environment with moderate to high noise levels, and comfort with working at heights. -Reliable transportation to and from the office or job site. -Proficiency in using test equipment including sensitivity test equipment, multi-meters, battery analyzers, sound level meters, and communicating devices. -Must be able and willing to work within a team environment. -Must be punctual. Being on time is critical due to the need to perform sound tests prior to building tenant arrivals.
