Tasks

-Perform precision alignments, rigging, and installation of bearings, gearboxes, shafts, and drive systems. -Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, lockout/tagout, and company procedures. -Diagnose and resolve breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime. -Maintain plant cleanliness, organization, and protection of company property. -Fabricate, weld, and machine replacement parts or modifications as required. -Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. -Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain production and facility equipment including: CNC machines, press brakes, lasers, welders, overhead cranes, conveyors, and paint systems. -Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, schematics, and work orders. -Provide guidance and mentoring to apprentices and junior trades employees.

We are looking for a highly skilled Red Seal Industrial Mechanic/Millwright to join our Winnipeg maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and safety of production equipment through expert installation, repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance. This position is critical to keeping our advanced manufacturing operations running efficiently and safely. -Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment. -Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate preferred. Alternatively, a provincially recognized Industrial Mechanic, Machinist, Automotive, or Mechanic Certificate of equal standing will be considered. -Knowledge of conveyors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, and drive systems. -Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools, alignment equipment, and machine shop tools. -Hands-on experience with preventative and predictive maintenance programs. -Ability to fabricate, weld, and machine components when needed. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. -Strong background in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
