Tasks

-Lead code reviews, author technical docs, and mentor engineers. -Architect, implement, and maintain backend services. -Collaborate with Product/Design to break down problems and deliver iteratively. -Drive technical decisions on architecture, tooling, and best practices. -Design clean, well-documented REST/GraphQL APIs and data models that serve our web application. -Takes initiative and drives projects from conception to completion.

What You Bring

-6–8+ years of backend engineering experience in production environments. -Experience with real-time communication/WebSockets. -Experience with caching strategies (Redis) and message queuing systems (Kafka, SQS, RabbitMQ). -Experience designing secure APIs and with service reliance patterns. -Proven track record with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS, GCP) and containerization (Docker preferred, Kubernetes). -Own service reliability including comprehensive testing, observability, performance, and incident response. -Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code. -Strong proficiency in Typescript/Next.js or equivalent experience in Python, Go, Java, etc. -Deep experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred, MySQL) including query optimization and schema design. -Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams. -Background in investment management or multifamily real estate.
