Tasks

As a Senior Procurement Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering utility-scale solar PV projects. You will lead procurement activities from strategy development to contract execution, ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and INTEC’s strategic goals. This role demands strong technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and stakeholder engagement within an EPC framework. -Lead and contribute to proposal development, including cost estimation and supplier engagement. -Identify, assess, and onboard new suppliers, ensuring capability and compliance. -Draft, review, and manage contracts including NEC4 and other relevant frameworks. -Manage tendering processes, bid evaluations, and negotiations for equipment and subcontractor services. -Define and monitor KPIs for vendors and subcontractors: lead-time, availability, compliance, pricing competitiveness, defect rate, order capacity, ROI, and innovation. -Collaborate with engineering, legal, project management, and commercial teams to align specifications and terms. -Maintain accurate procurement documentation and performance metrics. -Develop and execute procurement strategies for solar PV, HV systems, and civil/electrical balance-of-plant components. -Maintain strategic supplier relationships and conduct regular performance reviews. -Ensure timely procurement and delivery of critical components to meet project milestones. -Track market trends, price movements, and supply chain risks; develop mitigation strategies.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement tools. -Skilled in supplier assessment and onboarding, especially in fast-paced project environments. -Candidate must have the right to work and live in the UK without restrictions now and in the future. -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (Master’s preferred). -Strong understanding of contract law, NEC4, INCOTERMS, and commercial risk management. -Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. -Proven experience sourcing from international solar vendors. -Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in EPC or renewable energy sectors, ideally in solar PV.
