Tasks

-Contribute technical expertise on ITS, ATMS, and transportation technology projects. -Prepare technical reports, specifications, and electrical design documents. -Stay current on emerging technologies and assess applications for transportation safety, operations, and maintenance. -Assist with proposals, marketing, and participation in industry events. -Conduct field work, equipment testing, and infrastructure verification. -Develop design plans, specifications, and systems engineering documentation in line with FHWA guidelines. -Apply knowledge across the ITS/ATMS lifecycle—from planning and design to implementation and operations. -Support planning efforts, including master plans, concept of operations, and policy documents.

What You Bring

-Ability to build strong client and team relationships. -Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving technologies and project needs. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or related field. -Willingness to travel for projects and client needs. -Familiarity with FHWA Systems Engineering processes. -Effective problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. -5-10 years of relevant ITS/ATMS experience. -PE license required. -Strong technical background in ITS/ATMS planning, design, and systems engineering.

As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $77,800 - $138,000 annually for this position and local market.
