The Role

Overview

Maintain and repair commercial plumbing systems, including water, gas, and waste.

Tasks

-Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures by blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes. -Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed. -Assist other staff members or contractors on projects or equipment installations. -Complete all HSE programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment, etc. -Respond to emergency situations, summoning extra help as needed. -Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices. -Provide training to other staff members so they can perform light plumbing maintenance and repair. -Repair, install, replace, test, and troubleshoot the water and medical gas supply and distribution system. -Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management. -Ensure waste and vent lines are in good operating condition using a plumber’s snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer. -Follow all activity policies and procedures, always including all HSE-related requirements.

What You Bring

-Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. -In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. -High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Plumbing certification at the Journeyman level required. Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred. Valid Driver’s License required. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred. -Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. -Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions. -Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
