Tasks

-Continuously develop our analysis processes to increase efficiency and add value to all areas of the business. -Work with cross-functional teams to effectively optimize operations of EV fleets through simulation & analysis, optimizing charging performance. -Work with Business Development, Technical Solutions, and directly with customers to simulate initial electrification feasibility through to validating charging performance when signing off final electrical designs and component selection. -Feed back EV fleet simulation requirements to the analysts leading global toolset development. -Actively contribute to Zenobe's commitment to health and safety, wellbeing and sustainability by; integrating these principles into daily responsibilities, ensuring a safe and supportive work environment, promoting both the physical and mental health of self and colleagues, and adopting sustainable and energy-efficient practices to minimize environmental impact. By doing so, each employee at Zenobe plays a vital role in fostering a culture that prioritises overall safety, holistic wellbeing, environmental sustainability in our business operations. -Lead EV fleet simulation activities for all projects in the US and North America, supported by the rest of the global EV analytics team (UK-based). -Lead US energy market research to allow commercial optimization of projects, feeding back tariff structures to the analysts leading toolset development. -Work with the Business Development and Operations team(s) to provide in-depth modelling insights on fleet sites for both design-phase and live operational projects. -Work with the Product Management and Engineering team to deploy simulation and analytics capabilities into automated pipelines linked with live data feedback and providing fleet performance insight or adapting future fleet strategies for continual improvement.

What You Bring

-Excel proficiency -Technical background with good understanding of the underlying physical principles related to electric vehicles and the energy sector. -Understanding of US tariff structure(s) -Master’s degree / PhD -Excellent professional communication, reporting and presentation skills -Experience with energy modelling and load shaping up to and including demand charge optimization, demand response/ancillary services, and export programs—either at retail/distribution level or wholesale ISO/grid level; -Fluency in English to business-level is mandatory -Additional EV experience not limited to design, development, analysis or testing of EVs -Customer-facing experience, preferably in a consulting-style environment. -Python experience (numpy, scipy, pandas, matplotlib, plotly, poetry, GIT and other scientific libraries) -2+ years of professional experience working at the cutting edge of the EV or renewable energy sector, focusing on modelling, simulation and analysis. -STEM qualification (e.g. engineering, applied physics, data science), 1st or 2-1 [undergrad or equiv.] -Excellent mathematical, analytical and problem-solving ability
