The Role

Overview

Install, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial automation equipment and control systems.

Tasks

-Perform startup and commissioning of automated machinery in-house and at customer locations. -Interpret and work from mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for fabrication and assembly of custom industrial systems. -Collaborate with engineering and field service teams to resolve equipment issues. -Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on conveyors, gear-driven systems, and vibratory equipment. -Perform complex mechanical assembly, machining, welding, and fabrication tasks. -Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems. -Configure and troubleshoot control systems, including PLC hardware and logic interfaces. -Adhere to all company and customer safety procedures and protocols. -Wire and test industrial control panels, including 24VDC through 480VAC systems. -Read and troubleshoot PLCs and assist in modifying control logic under engineering direction.

What You Bring

-AWS Certified Welder (or equivalent) preferred. -Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for field service work, when required. -Strong background in mechanical assembly, fabrication, welding, and machining. -Able to work in varying environments, including manufacturing floors and customer sites. -Experience with control panel wiring and industrial electrical systems (24VDC to 480VAC). -High level of attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset. -Proficient in PLC reading and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar). -Self-motivated and organized with excellent problem-solving skills. -Strong communication skills and ability to mentor junior technicians. -5+ years of experience in a technician or field service role, preferably in automation or custom equipment manufacturing. -Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.
