Tasks
-Documentation & Inventory: Accurately complete all required build documentation, maintain organized records of materials used, and proactively communicate inventory needs or discrepancies to the Panel Shop Lead -Mechanical Assembly: Install and mechanically mount all control panel components, including PLCs, relays, terminal blocks, circuit breakers, power supplies, VFDs, and HMIs, into enclosures and sub-panels -Enclosure Fabrication: Utilize appropriate hand tools, power tools, and light fabrication equipment (drills, punches, saws) to cut, modify, and prepare enclosures and mounting plates as required by the design -Quality Control & Testing: Conduct thorough continuity checks, point-to-point wiring verifications, and power-up testing to ensure the panel functions correctly, meets the Bill of Materials (BOM), and adheres to all electrical drawings prior to shipment -Precision Wiring: Execute complex point-to-point electrical wiring of all components within the panel enclosures. This requires ensuring proper wire gauge selection, correct color coding, neat wire routing, and secure terminal connections -Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all company safety protocols and maintain continuous compliance with industry standards, particularly UL 508A and applicable electrical codes (NFPA 70/NEC) -Technical Interpretation: Read and accurately interpret electrical schematics, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams (blueprints) to determine component placement and wiring paths

What You Bring
-Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of documented experience in building, wiring, or assembling industrial electrical control panels, switchgear, or complex electrical assemblies -Education: High School Diploma or GED is required. Completion of a technical certification, vocational training, or an Associate's degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Automation, or a related technical field is highly preferred -Manual dexterity required for component wiring and assembly -Quality Focus: Meticulous attention to detail and a steadfast commitment to producing high-quality, neat, and standardized workmanship -Ability to stand, walk, climb, and bend for extended periods throughout the workday -Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated strong proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical schematics, mechanical layout drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) -Tool Usage: Expert use of all standard electrical and mechanical hand tools (e.g., crimpers, wire strippers, torque wrenches, multimeters) and power tools common to panel fabrication -Ability to lift and/or move components weighing up to 50 pounds
