Remove and handle glass units from ovens, operate equipment, maintain safety

Tasks

-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. -Operates equipment related to these activities and trains less-experienced workers in equipment operation. -Ensures that equipment used is operable and maintained in working order. -Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly. Must wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times as deemed by management and policy. -Cleans equipment, floors, and work areas according to safety procedures. -Removes insulated glass units from oven and arranges in harp carts.

-Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. -Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. -No prior experience or training required. -Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality. -Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions. -Quantity - Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly. -Must regularly lift and /or move up to 100 pounds. -Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. -Able to work overtime as business needs require. -Frequently exposed to extreme cold; extreme heat and vibration.
