Tasks
-Oversee all aspects of the Survey Department, including personnel management, project proposals, and research for field and office work. -Maintain and archive survey records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. -Manage project and department budgets, monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-effective practices. -Mentor and provide guidance to department personnel, fostering their professional growth and development. -Collaborate with the business development team to identify and pursue new opportunities for the survey department. -Stay current with industry trends, advancements in survey practices, and emerging technologies, implementing best practices and innovative solutions. -Ensure the quality and timely completion of field and office work, reviewing and approving survey calculations, and stamping and sealing final drawings. -Ensure compliance with safety protocols and promote a safe working environment for survey operations. -Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns, and consistently delivering exceptional service.

What You Bring
-Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet critical deadlines and deliver high-quality results. -Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the state of Kansas or Missouri. -10+ years of experience in land surveying, with a proven track record of successful project management. -Ability to work in various outdoor conditions. -Demonstrated comfort and proficiency in business development activities, including client management and relationship building. -Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. -Familiarity with surveying software and technologies, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GPS equipment. -Strong ability to manage multiple objectives, clients, contractors, third parties, and internal team members effectively. -Exceptional skills in determining project requirements, setting priorities, and managing resources. -Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex concepts and information clearly and concisely. -Valid driver's license and clean driving record. -Extensive knowledge and expertise in survey practices, equipment, and methodologies. -Extended periods of sitting and working at a desk.
