Overview
Support EHS programs, ensure compliance, promote safety on weekend shift.

Tasks
-Support tracking of appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track EHS performance. -Evaluate jobs for possible ergonomic improvements (body mechanics, lifts, hoists, manipulators, etc.) and implement these work design changes. -Assist with the implementation of MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security and Health and utilize the MESH tools to drive improvements. -Emergency Response: Participate in emergency response planning and drills and provide first aid as needed. -Support the function in EHS data analysis, data management, reporting and training while providing technical expertise to the organization. -Coordinate assigned Occupational Safety and Health and other training programs, possibly including, but not limited to: Personal Protective Equipment, Forklift, First Aid, Machine Safety, Hearing Conservation, Respiratory Protection, Blood Borne Pathogen, Foot Protection and Eye Protection, Confined Space, Contractor Safety and Hazard Communication. -Assist coordination to ZWaD certification and water reduction programs with cross functional teams. -Ensure accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics and closure of assigned MESH and regulatory agency findings and assists with intermediate communication with public/government authorities; assists in providing guidance and leading resolutions actions during crises as needed. -Assist champion for the MESH MOC process, this will include mentoring employees who perform a variety of engineering work in designing, installing, operating, and maintaining measuring apparatus necessary to determine the level of pollutants involving air, land and water. -Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, and training activities. -Actively investigate all accidents and near misses, identifies root causes, and ensures corrective actions are implemented. Will be the lead person for 8D on all recordable accidents. -Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving EHS processes and procedures. -Champion and lead projects designed to effectively drive improvements in our “Zero Incident Safety Culture” program(s). -Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results. -Support EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year. -Drive and promote zero incident EHS culture throughout site. -Hazardous Materials: Manage the proper storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous materials. -Compile and analyze MESH data for capturing in Eaton’s Safety database to include corrective action tracking and MESH scoring as assigned, including the review of the site's Workstation Risk Assessment Program.

What You Bring
-Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities. -Excellent written and oral communication skills. -Bilingual: English - Spanish -Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. -Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. -Excellent interpersonal skills including use of tact, judgment, and influencing. -Proven ability in counseling/advising in various EHS needs. -Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship. -Candidate must be able to travel outside of the continental United States including, but not limited to, the Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Canada -Ability to lift, up to 20 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions. -High school diploma or equivalent. -Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point, Outlook required. -Associate’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, or related field preferred. -Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion. -Ability to work collaboratively with other team members and departments.
