Tasks
As a Field Manager, you’ll exemplify our Leadership Principles by guiding your team through change, fostering collaboration, and ensuring every decision reflects care and accountability. Every day brings a mix of leadership, coordination, and problem-solving. You’ll spend time in the field guiding your teams, managing priorities, and ensuring the safe and efficient execution of work. You’ll be both a coach and a decision-maker As a Field Manager, you’ll provide leadership, structure, and operational oversight to ensure work is delivered safely on time, and to specification. You’ll be accountable for managing people and performance, driving continuous improvement, and building technical capability within your team. You will play a key role in connecting strategy to execution; supporting planning, influencing operational decisions, and helping shape how field operations are delivered safely and effectively across NSW. -Analyse work performance and implement lessons learnt to enhance delivery efficiency. -Build workforce capability and technical proficiency through coaching and targeted development. -Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Field Coordinators and Technicians to deliver quality outcomes. -Provide visible leadership across field sites, reinforcing Transgrid’s safety-first culture. -Drive continuous improvement in safety, productivity, and operational performance. -Build relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and community partners to maintain trust. -Ensure work complies with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. -Partner with technical experts and schedulers to optimise delivery and resource allocation. -Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Planning, and Engineering to align work programs. -Oversee program delivery to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and within budget.

What You Bring
This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to lead a team of field professionals responsible for delivering critical maintenance and construction work programs across Transgrid’s transmission network. -Proven experience managing budgets, schedules, and operational performance. -Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate others. -Advanced Diploma (or equivalent) in a technical or engineering discipline. -Clarity – We set clear expectations and communicate with intent. -Extensive experience managing field operations or large-scale maintenance programs. -Confidence in using ERP, Power BI, and digital systems to inform decision-making.
