Senior electrical engineer for industrial water/wastewater projects in Hawaii

Tasks

-Communicate and interface with clients. -Collaborate with other technical teams for design coordination. -Successfully manage and execute electrical designs to be on time and on budget using company systems and tools. -Scope and budget projects, identify method of project execution, and coordinate staff assignments. -Producing effective and accurate written documents, reports, and technical memorandums. -Collaborate with a national team of technical experts in the Electrical and I&C group. -Perform contractor construction submittal reviews and request for information documents and general electrical design activities for water and wastewater treatment plant and pump station power systems. Field and site investigation of project work as required. -Serve as a project task manager, or perform as lead discipline (electrical and I&C) engineer and Electrical Engineer-of-record on projects as appropriate. -Support business opportunities and assist in sales and marketing efforts (proposal preparation, interviewing, scope, fee, etc.). -Mentor other electrical and I&C engineers and designers.

What You Bring

-Minimum 10 years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer working for government, municipal, and/or industrial water and wastewater industries. -Power system software design/modelling experience (SKM, ETAP, EasyPower). -Solid knowledge and understanding of electrical safety systems, NFPA 70E. -Solid knowledge in the application of the National Electrical Code. -Candidate should be a self-starter, results-oriented, be able to multi-task, and work under tight and pressured deadlines. -BS in Electrical Engineering. -Experience in industrial power systems design (medium and low voltage systems), service entrance, feeder and branch circuits, lighting, emergency power and power generation and distribution equipment, power systems studies. -Supervisory and mentoring experience with electrical staff. -Experience with renewable and alternative energy design a plus (solar, wind, cogeneration). -Able to multi-task, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and work independently with a willingness to learn. -Professional registration or the ability to obtain within 6 months. -12-15+ years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer working for government, municipal, and/or industrial water and wastewater industries. -Ability to mentor and guide junior staff. -Ability to work with Designers in Revit/BIM environment along with AutoCAD P&ID. -Effective oral and written communication.
