Overview
Design, model, and simulate high‑speed/high‑power InP and GaAs semiconductor lasers for R&D.

Tasks
-Develop high-speed and high-power laser models and simulations using in-house tools, commercial software, and custom scripts. -Prepare detailed reports and present progress updates to the engineering team. -Partner with internal Growth, Processing, Packaging, Characterization, and Reliability teams to verify and validate designs. -Contribute to innovative laser design concepts and optimization projects. -Analyze test data to refine device designs and modeling accuracy. -Collaborate closely with process and fabrication engineers on process flow and photomask design. -Perform optical waveguide, DC, RF, and thermal simulations.

What You Bring
-PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics, or a related discipline (or Master’s with 5+ years of relevant laser design experience). -Experience with one or more of the following is a plus: high-speed lasers, EML, VCSEL, or high-power lasers. -Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to think analytically and creatively. -Immigration sponsorship available (must be currently authorized to work in the U.S.) -At least 2 years of hands-on experience in semiconductor laser design preferred. -Skilled in Matlab or similar programming tools. -Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes beneficial. -Strong understanding of semiconductor laser, photodetector, and optoelectronic device theory.
