Lead energy sustainability workstream and technical team for projects in London.

Tasks

You will be the Technical Leader for energy performance activities within the London office. You will be the source of technical expertise and leadership, and develop and refine the products we offer to our clients, and drive excellence and consistency across our projects. You will lead forums for sharing knowledge, developing capability, training, thought-leadership, innovation and research. -Report energy resourcing requirements to the project lead team. -You will be in a Client facing role, attending project meetings and disseminating the brief within the project team. You will need to be of personable nature and an excellent communicator. -Manage and prioritise the workload of the energy team. -You will provide a lead role in an integrated project design team with other construction professionals. -Take ownership and deliver the energy workstream on large scale projects with industry leading clients. -In-Use energy modelling and assessment -Building Regulations Part L assessments using Elmhurst and IES -Take ownership and lead the energy workstream within the sustainability team. -Contribute to the development of other team members. -Collaborate with MEP colleagues and support development of energy modelling expertise within MEP teams. -Effectively delegate, manage and review work undertaken by others. -Dynamic modelling for thermal comfort assessments and overheating risk assessments -As well as project-related work, the business engages directly with industry undertaking research and development studies, and authoring industry guidance. The role also presents the opportunity for involvement in this aspect of the Group’s work to those keen to have a direct influence on the industry.

What You Bring

Associate or Senior Associate - Sustainability - Energy You will have detailed knowledge, competence and qualifications in the following fields. -You will be confident in leading sustainability workshops with design teams. -Qualified and recognized within the industry with Chartered status -An excellent communicator who enables, promotes, and drives technical excellence for the ultimate benefit of the client. -You will have an in-depth understanding of London planning requirements -Experienced team leader/line manager. -You will have good communication skills and an enthusiasm for working within a team environment. -You will bring technical expertise (with a degree in an applicable field) and a passion for creating sustainable solutions. -Experience working within a sustainability consultancy, you will be looking for a new challenge within a practice at the very forefront of our field.
